Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Kola has backed down on pursuing fellow housemate Dede, saying he does not want to end up like Ozo whose love interest Nengi did not reciprocate his feelings in the Lockdown season.
Kola made this known in a conversation with Sabrina on Tuesday night, noting that Dede was giving mixed signals.
“She is giving mixed signals,” he said.
Sabrina replied, “Only God knows the conversations she has with Koyin and Jason Jae.”
Speaking further, Kola said, “I hope my team change the narrative of this Ozo and Nengi thing. I will do same when I come out.”
The 29-year-old who previously opened up to Dede about having feelings for her decided to take a step back after noticing her closeness with other male housemates and her reluctance to define their relationship.
Dede, on the other hand, has made it clear that she is in a serious relationship outside the house and would not engage in anything romantic on the show.
“I’m in a relationship outside the house, very serious… it would definitely not happen by God‘s Grace,” she said in an earlier conversation.
Many viewers have compared Kola’s pursuit of Dede to the infamous Ozo-Nengi situation in the 2020 edition of the show. Back then, Ozo repeatedly expressed love for Nengi who insisted they were just friends, leading to online backlash over his persistence.
