Comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has unveiled a new hairstyle at Guinness 75th anniversary celebration.
Basketmouth was one of the comperes as Guinness celebrated 75 years in Nigeria with a dinner at Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island on Monday.
The 47-year-old told the audience that he cut his hair for a role in an upcoming movie and the dinner was the first time he would reveal the new hairstyle publicly.
Basketmouth, who has now gone bald, recently posted a video of himself getting a haircut and told his followers to watch out for his new look.
Sharing the final result on Instagram, he said, “Well, you’ve seen the hair. I hope you like it. Well, even if you don’t like it, that’s your business. I like it. I love it. Yeah. Finally, we can rest now abi?”
The 75th anniversary celebration also highlighted Guinness Nigeria’s journey over the decades, from its first local brewery in Lagos in 1962 — the first Guinness brewery outside Ireland and the UK — to becoming a household name with products like Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, Guinness Smooth, Malta Guinness, Orijin, and Dubic Malt.
Top business leaders, senior government officials, media executives, entertainers, and other key stakeholders attended the event.
