TikTok content creator and disc jockey Bankyroy has narrated how he reacted after being informed that his wife had died shortly after delivering their baby boy.
In an interview shared on Instagram on Wednesday, Bankyroy recalled, “When they told me my wife had passed away after she delivered a baby boy, I ran to the toilet and started pooping on the floor uncontrollably. The baby is very peaceful and doesn’t disturb despite the fact that he is not breastfeeding. Even after he was circumcised, he didn’t cry like other babies, he slept peacefully. He is my happiness. May God protect him for me. My wife’s parents had been down since she passed away.”
Bankyroy and his wife got married in March. The baby, whom he named Royaan, was born in August.
In a viral TikTok post, he introduced the child to followers saying, “Today we name you Royaan… I pray help come from above to stand as mum & dad for you Royaan.”
The tragedy comes two years after Bankyroy survived an electricity accident that left him without both hands. In September 2023, he was electrocuted while adjusting an umbrella at his POS stand during rainfall. He spent six months in hospital before doctors amputated both arms.
Despite the ordeal and being abandoned by his then-girlfriend, the social media personality turned his pain into passion, venturing into disc jockeying and creating content that inspired many.
