Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy, a category under the prestigious Ballon d’Or awards that recognises the best female goalkeeper in the world.
The 24-year-old’s nomination follows a remarkable year for both club and country.
She recently completed a move to Brighton Women FC after an impressive spell at Paris FC, where she helped the French side secure their first major title in nearly 20 years.
Nnadozie was the standout performer in the final of the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine, guiding Paris FC to a dramatic 5-4 penalty shootout win over Paris Saint-Germain after a goalless draw in regulation time.
On the international stage, Nnadozie was instrumental in Nigeria’s triumphant campaign at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Her commanding presence between the sticks helped the Super Falcons claim their record-extending 10th continental title, defeating host nation Morocco in the final.
Her performances earned her the Best Goalkeeper award at the tournament as well as a place in the WAFCON Team of the Tournament.
