Ayra Starr and Rema’s new single ‘Who’s Dat Girl’ has hit one million views on YouTube just eight hours after its release.

The video, directed by Nigerian-British filmmaker Meji Alabi, features visuals that highlight the chemistry between the Mavin Records stars.

The song blends Afrobeats, hip-hop and dance elements, with Ayra Starr opening the track with the catchy hook, “Who’s that girl, who’s that girl, what’s popping? / Bad gyal, there’s no stopping what’s coming / Feeling the energy, adrenaline rushing / Real talk na real talk, they wanna know, oh.”

Released under Mavin Records, the track comes months after Ayra Starr’s sophomore album The Year I Turned 21, which debuted at number one in Nigeria. The singer, who recently signed a deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, continues to build her international presence with major festival appearances and collaborations.

For Rema, whose hit song ‘Calm Down’ became one of Afrobeats’ biggest global successes, the collaboration further cements his position as one of Africa’s most streamed artistes.

Fans have flooded social media with excitement over the record, praising both singers for their energy and chemistry.
