Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President Bukola Saraki and gospel singer Sunmisola Agbebi were among those who attended the sixth-year remembrance service of Comfort Melaye, mother of former senator Dino Melaye.

The memorial service was held at Melaye’s residence, where Agbebi led a worship session.

Dino shared a clip of the session on Instagram late Monday with the caption, “Simisola Agbebi at the 6th year remembrance service of Deaconess Comfort Melaye.”

Deaconess Comfort Melaye died on May 2, 2019, at the age of 70 after a brief illness at a private hospital.

She was buried on July 13, 2019, at J.E. Melaye’s residence in Aiyetoro Gbede, Kogi State, with several dignitaries in attendance.

Since her death, Dino Melaye has consistently honoured her memory.

On Christmas Day 2024, he visited her Bible-themed grave, sharing photos and videos as he paid tribute to the woman he once described as his “prayer warrior” and “greatest supporter.”
