Italian and Nigerian club sides, AS Roma and Kano Pillars on Monday displayed mutual respect for each other on Twitter.
The two-time Serie A winners began the show of friendship by naming Pillars as its ‘Twitter Team of the Day’.
“AS Roma Twitter Team of the Day is Nigeria’s Kano Pillars, ” the Italian capital club tweeted.
“Born out of three amateur clubs in Kano State coming together in 1990, Kano Pillars have won four league titles, a Nigerian Super Cup and once went 12 years – from 2003 to 2015 – without losing a home match .”

Pillars then returned the gesture by thanking the club saying ” what a great gesture from AS Roma. Thank you for the compliments.”

While Pillars will wait till January to begin the 2018/19 season, Roma is currently 10th on the Serie A standings.
