Actress Annie Macaulay, the estranged wife of music star 2Baba, has opened up about her next steps as she embraces life as a single mother.

Her revelation comes after 2Baba announced their separation on Instagram. In his statement, the singer described the decision as “painful but necessary,” and urged fans and the public to respect their privacy during this period.

Following the announcement, Annie returned to social media after a brief break and reaffirmed her identity in a statement, saying she is simply Annie Macaulay.

Speaking with BBC Pidgin at the 17th Headies Awards held in Lagos, the actress shared that she is currently focused on new projects, including her own online TV station.

“My family is fine. My children are also fine. My first daughter is outside the country schooling. Don’t play with my kids, they are my backbone,” Annie said. “Right now I am working on my TV station, my online TV which is the Annie Macaulay TV. So everyone should be ready for different things. My daughters have also done an eleven-episode series which will soon air on Annie Macaulay TV pretty soon.”

The mother of two, who shares her daughters with 2Baba, expressed pride in their academic achievements and described them as her biggest motivation and strength as she navigates this new phase of her life.

Annie and 2Baba, who got married in 2012, have endured several controversies over the years, including allegations of infidelity and family disputes. Despite previous efforts to salvage their relationship, the couple has now decided to part ways.
