Actress Annie Idibia has reacted after facing backlash for liking a viral post made by Laila Charani, the Moroccan wife of politician Ned Nwoko, accusing her co-wife Regina Daniels of introducing her to drugs and engaging in lesbian acts.

In the post shared on Instagram on Thursday, Laila alleged that Regina introduced her to drugs about six years ago and that the habit nearly ruined her marriage. She also claimed that Regina was involved in lesbian relationships and had been sleeping with “every single girl around her.”

Laila further alleged that the only reason Regina is at odds with their husband is because he wants her to stop her alleged drug and alcohol addiction. “The only reason you are fighting my husband is because he wants you to stop your drug and alcohol addiction,” she wrote.

The allegations stirred mixed reactions online, especially after fans noticed Annie had liked the post. Many criticised her for betraying Regina, who once supported her publicly during her marital crisis with singer 2Baba.

Reacting to the backlash, Annie took to her Instagram Story on Thursday to clarify that the like was a mistake.

She wrote, “In the process of reading the rubbish that was alleged about my baby, Regina, I liked the post mistakenly. Over here, we don’t play with loyalty, and my baby knows I have her back, front and side. Make una rest abeg.”
