Actress Anita Joseph has reacted to allegations by May Edochie’s former lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, that she created fake awards for the entrepreneur.
In a viral video, Emeka, who was recently sued by May, alleged that Anita staged ambassadorial appointments for her friend.
“A lot of people have been sacrificed, Anita Joseph has made a lot of sacrifice for her. Anita Joseph helped her create fake ambassadorial appointments because I still meet some people who told me United Nations gave May an ambassadorial award. That was so bizarre, that is madness. United Nations doesn’t know May at all,” he said.
Firing back on Instagram on Tuesday, Anita asked: “What did May do to you? Did she do wrong to hire you as her lawyer?
“Don’t call my name again. You said I organised an award for May. Every award May got, she merited it, she deserved it. Why are you so angry? Why are you so bitter?
“You worked with somebody, she said she doesn’t want again. Is it by force?”
The actress also accused Emeka of lacking shame for dragging a former client, adding: “This woman has survived, she has conquered. You people are just looking for ways to make May—nothing will happen to May.”
Emeka, who had represented May in her ongoing marital crisis with Yul Edochie, recently announced his withdrawal from her legal team.
The drama took a new turn after May filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of defamation and cyberbullying. She also issued a cease-and-desist letter through her new lawyers.
Reports suggest the suit may be valued at N1.5 billion.
