Actress Anita Joseph has responded to claims made by her estranged husband, MC Fish, following his recent Instagram posts.
The posts suggested she approached him for a relationship and denied that he was financially dependent on her during their marriage.
Anita reacted on Saturday on her Instagram page, asking to be left out of the online controversy. She wrote, “Memo to my EX… I don’t want to run in the mud with you. Please this is a new year, if you have whatever you want to say, please say it now and let me get on with my life… This new year is growth and all positivity for me. Stop dragging me back with your mess… LEAVE ME ALONE!!!”
MC Fish, whose real name is Fisayo Olagunju, defended his work as a hypeman and MC, rejecting claims that he relied on Anita financially. He insisted he was already established in his career before meeting her and that she made the first move.
He wrote, “I have always maintained my lane I dey where I dey hype when dem come toast me, and it led to marriage. Fine marriage, no work again, and the next thing woman dey feed me. I dare her to say she took care of the bills by herself in the 5 years of that marriage.”
He also said, “I helped you set up a business, I helped in the process of your monetization for all your social media, I was pa, manager, pr at some point. You never used to move around like a VIP until you met me. I was the one that collected security and protocol for you. But yet I am the gold digger.”
Anita and MC Fish married in 2020. The actress quietly confirmed their split in December 2025, following months of rumours about infidelity, domestic issues, and pregnancy losses.
