Actress Anita Joseph has confirmed that her marriage to comedian and event host Fisayo Michael, known as MC Fish, has ended.
The 40-year-old confirmed the split in a post shared on her Instagram page on Monday, putting an end to months of speculation about the state of their marriage.
Reflecting on the experience, Anita spoke about the emotional strain she has gone through and her decision to move forward. She wrote, “Life has a way of testing our strength in ways we never expect especially in marriage.”
She added, “Lately, I’ve been walking through a season of deep reflection, pain and healing. I may not have all the answers, but I’m choosing grace, growth, and faith — one step at a time.”
Confirming the separation, she stated, “Calling a spade a spade, my marriage is over. Ogbugianyi! Omere ka Anyi Mara ihe! Shallom!!”
Joseph and MC Fish got married in February 2020 in a ceremony that attracted wide attention within the entertainment industry.
In recent weeks, rumours had circulated online about challenges in the marriage after the actress shared cryptic messages on social media. At the time, she acknowledged going through a difficult period but said she would speak openly when she was ready.
Neither Joseph nor MC Fish has publicly disclosed details about what led to the breakdown of the marriage. MC Fish has also not made any public statement since the actress confirmed the split.
