Actress and film producer Allwell Ademola is dead.
She died on Saturday, December 27, at the age of 43.
Allwell’s death came hours after she made her final post on Instagram.
She was reportedly rushed to Ancilla Hospital in Agege, Lagos, by a neighbour but was confirmed dead on arrival. Reports said she suffered a heart attack at her residence before she was taken to the hospital.
The news of her death was confirmed by actress Faithia Williams, who shared a post on Instagram on Saturday.
“This hit me so bad Eniobanke,” Faithia wrote.
She captioned the post, “😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔Allahu Akbar…. Allwell 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭”
Since the announcement, colleagues in the film industry have continued to react, with many expressing shock over her sudden death.
Allwell Ademola was an actress, director and producer who worked across Yoruba and English language films. She featured in several Nollywood productions and was also involved in producing and directing movies during her career.
She was a granddaughter of the late Adetokunbo Ademola, former Chief Justice of Nigeria.
At the time of filing this report, no official statement had been released by her family on burial arrangements or further details surrounding her death.
