2Baba’s brother Hyacinth Idibia has appealed to the singer to allow his family support him as concerns grow over the musician’s troubled personal life.

Hyacinth wrote the message on his Instagram story on Wednesday, expressing worry that the singer’s life now mirrors the pain in his lyrics. He said, “You’ve always been ahead, always been brilliant, lyrics meant to inspire, but somehow, it’s unfolding in real time. Painful reality, allow us save you. Oyinem, you’ve been suffering for too long. God knows.”

His comment comes months after another brother, Charles Idibia, publicly warned that 2Baba was “living in bondage” following issues involving his partner, Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.

Charles had accused Natasha of controlling the singer’s devices and disrupting his business activities. He wrote that she “cloned his WhatsApp,” “sabotaged his business trips,” and “told strangers she is his wife.”

Charles urged him at the time to step away from public pressure, saying he should take months off “alone” to clear his mind.

The latest concerns follow renewed online debate over a viral video showing 2Baba being questioned and led away in handcuffs by UK police during a recent trip to London. The clip resurfaced after blogger Cutie Julls reposted it on December 1.

2Baba had earlier denied being arrested during the trip, claiming he missed a scheduled London show in October due to a medical emergency.

However, the singer’s former manager Kaka Igbokwe said during an Instagram Live session that the incident was real. According to him, he was on the same flight with the couple. He claimed the confrontation began after they arrived in London and Natasha became upset when 2Baba moved off to meet fans.

Kaka alleged the situation escalated and police got involved, leading to the singer’s arrest. The video shows officers speaking with 2Baba outside a store before escorting him away.

UK authorities have yet to comment on the alleged arrest, and Natasha has not addressed the viral clip or the claims made by the former manager.
