Anu Adeleke, who has publicly claimed to be the daughter of Afrobeats singer Davido, has made a formal request for a DNA test.

She shared the request on her Instagram page on Thursday, alongside a picture of herself.

In the post, Anu wrote about returning to school after the holidays and starting her teenage years. She said her mother and grandmother taught her about responsibility and avoiding “drugs, alcohol, bad company and bad behavior.”

Anu said she faced bullying at school from the age of six because she told other students her father was “Mr David Adeleke.” She wrote that the experience caused her “mental anguish” and that she visited a medical professional to support her mental health.

Anu continued that as she grows older, she wants to establish her identity.

She said, “As I transition into a young woman, I am respectfully asking Mr David Adeleke Singer @davido for a DNA 🧬 test to establish my identity. This test is between my dad and I. It is something I want. It is something that’s the right thing to do. Please sir, consider my request once you read this post. I also sent it to your DM.”

She thanked Nigerians who have supported her and said the DNA test “is the right thing to do for me.” She added, “God Bless you Mr Adeleke. Anu Adeleke. January 15th 2026. Ibadan, Nigeria.”

Before this latest request, two DNA tests had already been conducted, reportedly showing that Davido was not Anu’s father. However, Anu’s mother disputed the results, claiming they were falsified and that she was denied a proper independent test. The matter has been in the public eye for years, with previous statements and controversies surrounding the paternity claim.

Davido has not directly responded to Anu’s 2026 Instagram request as of the time of this report.
