Alaafin of Oyo Oba Abimbola Owoade and Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi on Friday led other traditional rulers to the 90th birthday thanksgiving of businessman Kessington Adebutu, popularly known as Baba Ijebu.
The event was held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and former Governor Babatunde Fashola were among the dignitaries who attended the thanksgiving.
Mr Fashola was accompanied by his wife Abimbola.
Other guests included Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, human rights lawyer Femi Falana, media entrepreneur Dele Momodu and television host Morayo Afolabi-Brown.
Kessington Adebutu, born on October 24, 1935, in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, is the founder of Premier Lotto Limited, operators of the Baba Ijebu lottery.
He is also known for his philanthropic contributions through the Kessington Adebukunola Adebutu Foundation, which supports education, healthcare and community development projects across Nigeria.
The businessman, who was conferred with the title of Odole of Lagos by the late Oba Adeyinka Oyekan, is married with children, including politician Ladi Adebutu, a former member of the House of Representatives.
