Actress Aishat Lawal has narrated how architect Teju Ajayi, popularly known as Teju Oga, came to her rescue in a time of need.
Aishat spoke on Saturday at the 45th birthday celebration of the architect held at Rosetree Event Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.
She recalled, “I was trying to sell something to get some stuff for my daughter. You were looking for me and I was like — when I got there, that money you gave me that day, you might not know o but that money you gave me that day saved me from selling something very important to me and I still have that thing till date.
“You looked for me, I don’t know why you looked for me that day, you just wanted to give me money. You didn’t just give me any money, you gave me a lot of money.”
Teju Oga is the chief executive officer of The Architects Place Ltd, a Lagos-based design and construction firm. He is regarded as one of Nigeria’s most sought-after architects and is also known for his philanthropy and community service.
