President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has announced plans for a Nollywood investment summit in Doha, Qatar.
On Friday, Emeka shared a post on Instagram saying, “Experience Doha with Nollywood Stars. Get ready for an unforgettable journey as the Actors Guild of Nigeria and Directors Guild of Nigeria, in collaboration with Saint Basil & Vicky Events, present the Nollywood Qatar Film Investment Summit happening in Doha, Qatar. October 15 to 19, 2025.”
The summit, themed “Exploring Doha as a Film Destination,” will run from October 15 to 19.
It will feature panel discussions on film financing, co-productions, distribution and film tourism. Nollywood stars are also expected to showcase Nigerian content while engaging with stakeholders in Qatar’s growing film industry.
According to the organisers, the event aims to promote Doha as a filming destination while creating opportunities for collaboration between Nollywood and the Middle East.
Rollas, who was re-elected AGN president in November 2023, has in recent years championed international partnerships to expand Nollywood’s global reach.
