Founder and President of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), Mike Dada, has announced the completion of a Master of Laws (LLM) degree.

Taking to his Instagram page on Thursday, Dada shared a photo of himself in his graduation gown with the caption, “Another one in the bag! Master of Laws (LLM)..2 Ph.Ds loading …Merci mon Dieu pour ta miséricorde et ta grâce !”

AFRIMA was established in 2014 in partnership with the African Union to recognise and celebrate musical talent across Africa. Over the years, the platform has grown into one of the continent’s leading music award events, bringing together artistes and industry stakeholders from across Africa and the diaspora.

Dada, who is a lawyer and marketing professional, has been a strong advocate for the growth of Africa’s creative industry. Under his leadership, AFRIMA has expanded beyond awards to include initiatives focused on capacity building, education and youth development within the music sector.

The announcement of his latest academic achievement comes as AFRIMA continues to strengthen its footprint on the continent, with recent editions of the awards drawing wide participation and international attention.

Dada’s post also points to further academic ambitions, as he hinted at plans to pursue additional doctoral degrees alongside his professional responsibilities.
