Ademola Adeleke presents appointment letter to snacks seller as Government House chef

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has presented an appointment letter to Oluwatosin Adejumo, a puff-puff seller he earlier promised to employ as a chef at the Government House.

Pictures shared online on Friday showed the governor handing the appointment letter to Adejumo.

The development followed a viral video from Thursday, August 25, where Adeleke bought all of Adejumo’s snacks with N50,000 during a rally in Osogbo.

In the video, Adeleke invited the vendor into his vehicle and asked about her academic qualifications.

Adejumo, who holds a Nigerian Certificate in Education, also mentioned some of the dishes she could prepare.

The governor then directed his aides to take her details for employment.

Confirming the development, Osun State Civil Service Commissioner II, Olaniyan Taofeek, posted the video on X, writing, “The moment Gov. Adeleke turned the life of a puff-puff seller into a Government House chef.”

Special assistant to the governor on digital media Oni Lawrence also corroborated the incident in a post on X, stating, “Moment Governor Ademola Adeleke turned the life of a puff-puff seller to Government Chef… not only N50k but he invited her into his car and employed her as chef in the Government House.”

Adejumo has now officially resumed as a chef at the Government House.
