Five‑year‑old Deja, daughter of music stars Adekunle Gold and Simi, melted hearts at the Royal Festival Hall during the EFG London Jazz Festival, stealing the spotlight as she introduced her father for his grand finale performance.

With the confidence of a tiny emcee, Deja told the audience, “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m Deja Kosoko. You look beautiful today, all of you. All of everyone of you. Thank you for coming to my daddy’s show. I introduce to you, my daddy, the big fish, Adekunle Gold.”

Fans and celebrities quickly took to social media to gush over the adorable moment.

Bakare Zhainab wrote, “Tooo cute for words 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰.”

Lola Idije added, “Beautiful 👏❤️❤️❤️.” AY Comedian said, “Awesomeness.”

Dami joked, “Duduke don dey host show 😍😍😍.”

The emotional introduction set the stage for Adekunle Gold’s historic performance with the 50-piece Guildhall Session Orchestra, composed of talented alumni from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He became the first Nigerian and one of very few African artistes to headline a full orchestra show at the festival.

Gold reimagined hits like ‘Many People,’ ‘Orente,’ and ‘Sade’ with lush strings and sweeping brass arrangements, blending his signature Afrobeats sound with classical orchestration.

Fans described the fusion as both soulful and cinematic, marking a new milestone in the singer’s career.

Simi and Deja, sitting front row, watched proudly as father and daughter shared a moment.
