Actress Sarah Martins has tendered a heartfelt apology to music star Davido after he publicly scolded her for wrongly claiming he opened a restaurant that wasn’t in his wife Chioma’s name.

The actress had on Monday suggested online that the supposed restaurant, which made the rounds on social media, should have been launched in Chioma’s name or dedicated to her.

However, Davido wasted no time in clearing the air on Tuesday, stating that he did not open any restaurant.

According to the ‘Feel’ crooner, what people saw was merely a promotional campaign for his new album 5ive in collaboration with a food delivery brand.

In a blunt message sent directly to Sarah Martins, Davido wrote, “Wtf is wrong with u? Delete that dumb ass shit. Which fucking restaurant did I open? Pls. I didn’t open any restaurant. Pls delete it now.”

Following the backlash, Sarah shared an apology video on Instagram in which she referred to Davido as “my King, one and only 001.”

She explained that her assumption came from a post made by a food critic, and insisted she meant no harm with her comment.

“If you know me well, you’d know I’m a die-hard fan of Davido and Chioma, and I would never intentionally disrespect either of them,” she said.

“I jumped to conclusions based on misinformation. I am really, really sorry for getting on your nerves, especially to the point that you had to message me directly. OBO, I am your number one fan. Please forgive me. This is coming from a place of love.”
