Former beauty queen and actress Collete Nwadike has been named the Chief Executive Officer of Miss Tourism Nigeria.

The new role will see Collete expand the scope of the pageant to support young Nigerian women through “pageantry with a purpose”, aimed at bringing out their personal best.

“As I take on this new role, I look forward to learning, growing, and contributing to the evolution of Miss Tourism Nigeria – not just as a pageant, but as a business and a platform for transformation,” she said.

“I am committed to elevating the production, mentorship, and impact of this organisation for the next generation of queens who will follow.”

“This moment is both exciting and humbling. I step into it with faith, courage, and deep appreciation for the trust bestowed upon me,” she added.

Inspired in pageantry by forerunners like Bianca Ojukwu, Collete won the Miss Tourism Nigeria title in 2014 and the Exquisite Face of the Universe in 2015.

She also served as Special Assistant on Tourism to the Anambra State Government for eight years.

The actress has featured in several Nollywood productions including The Calabash directed by Obi Emelonye, Single’s Diary, Royal Mission, Chase and 042.

Through her company, Screen Goddess Global Productions, she has written and produced a 30-episode series titled African Beauty as well as a feature film, The Oblivion.

Aside from acting and pageantry, Collete is also a professional artist with seven of her paintings archived at the Isi Nri Museum in Anambra State.

Her appointment is expected to usher in a new era for Miss Tourism Nigeria, a platform created by Qhue Concepts in 2012 to promote culture, tourism and the empowerment of women.
