Actor Nwaogu Victor, popularly known as Nkubi, has gifted his wife a bouquet and a handwritten love note following criticism over a viral video.
His wife shared photos of the flowers on Instagram and wrote, “Udochukwu, my lovely husband, has finally bought me natural flowers.”
Nkubi also included a handwritten message with the bouquet, writing, “To my adorable wife, you are as beautiful as these flowers.”
The gesture comes after a video clip of Nkubi circulated online in which he explained that he had never bought flowers for his wife because he believed it was not common in African culture. In the video, he said, “We are Africans, we don’t do flowers,” responding to his wife’s comment about finding flowers romantic.
