Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa has said her personal email account has been compromised.
Mrs Dabiri-Erewa disclosed this in a post on her X account on Friday, stating that the email address had been accessed by unknown persons.
She warned the public to ignore any messages sent from the account or any other address claiming to be from her until she regains control.
“Please be informed that my email account (aodabiri@yahoo.com) has been compromised by hackers,” she said.
“Kindly ignore any emails purportedly sent from me using this or any other address until I regain full control of the account.”
She added that she would not be able to respond to messages sent to the account during the period.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa said efforts are ongoing to secure the account and restore access.
She also asked for patience from associates as the issue is being addressed.
