Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Gozy Ijogun, chief executive officer of Task Systems Limited, after the company was named one of the winners of the 2025 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards in the United States.

Task Systems, a Nigerian-owned technology firm and member of the Zinox Group, was recently announced as one of 42 winners selected from more than 4,600 nominations across 100 countries. The company received the award at the Microsoft Ignite 2025 event in California, becoming the only West African organisation on the list.

In a congratulatory message, Dabiri-Erewa said the achievement highlights the capacity of Nigerian-founded companies to compete on the global stage.

“Mrs Gozy Ijogun and Task Systems have made Nigeria proud once again. Winning a Microsoft Partner of the Year Award on American soil is a powerful testament to Nigerian brilliance, entrepreneurial spirit, and global competitiveness.

“This is a huge victory for our nation and an inspiration to millions of young Nigerians in the tech space,” she said.

She added that “Achievements like this change narratives and showcase the extraordinary talent of Nigerians all over the world. She holds a degree in Chemistry from University College London and a Master of Science degree in Accounting, Organizations, and Institutions from the London School of Economics. She also obtained advanced certifications and executive trainings from leading global institutions.”

Ijogun, who returned to Nigeria to lead Task Systems, has guided the company’s expansion in system integration and enterprise technology solutions. Before joining Task, she made her mark in the mobile devices distribution market, led operations at TD Africa and played key roles in the growth of technology distribution within the Zinox Group.

Dabiri Erewa described Task Systems’ global recognition as further proof of Nigeria’s presence in the international technology ecosystem. The award, she noted, acknowledges the company’s work in delivering Microsoft-based solutions to clients in Nigeria while maintaining a strong local identity.

Task Systems was founded in 1987 and has developed into a major technology services and integration firm serving organisations across Nigeria. The latest award adds to several others the company has received over the years for its work in the country’s digital economy.
