Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has expressed shock over the death of two serving members of the State House of Assembly on the same day.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, on Thursday in Kano, the governor described the near simultaneous deaths of Sarki Aliyu and Aminu Sa’adu as a dark and painful moment in the state’s history.

He extended condolences to the families of the deceased, the leadership and members of the House of Assembly, as well as residents of Kano Municipal and Ungoggo Local Government Areas.
The governor prayed that Allah forgives the shortcomings of the departed, grants them mercy and gives their families and the people of the state the strength to bear the loss.
