Singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has sparked conversations online after saying that men are not biologically wired to be with only one woman sexually.

Speaking during an episode of a South African podcast hosted by Nedu Wazobia, 2Baba said, “A man is not built to sexually be with one woman. A man can love one woman, but it’s impossible for a man to sexually be with one woman only. It’s the biology of man.”

He doubled down on the comment, saying, “A man cannot be with one woman sexually. That’s our biology.”

When asked if this meant he would cheat even in marriage, the father of seven replied, “Una just like look for trouble, I don tell you wetin I talk.”

He added, “Individuals fit just decide not to go that route but I dey tell you the biology of man. This thing I’m telling you na the biology of man and anybody wey wan follow me argue am, fine.”

“Wetin I dey tell you be say man fit love woman die but when it comes to that sexual… na biology of man. The seed too plenty, he no fit drop am for only one,” he further explained.

According to him, understanding this “simple fact” would save many people heartache.

“I want to believe you know what I’m talking about, it is what has gotten so many people in trouble. It’s a simple fact, we need to accept am because so many heartache, unnecessary stress, will be avoided if we understand this simple fact.”

The singer’s comments have attracted mixed reactions online, especially from those who referenced his past marriage to actress Annie Idibia and his new relationship with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.

Comments seen on social media include: “Poor Annie, this was all she had to deal with throughout these days…”

Another person wrote, “See who Annie spent her entire youth loving.”

While one said, “This is who he is, and he can’t change.”

Another added, “E no concerns us again. Natasha deserves it all.”

This is not the first time the singer has made similar statements.

On the Netflix reality show Young, Famous & African, 2Baba had said, “A man could love a woman to hell… His di*k would just decide something else. But he won’t ever give a fu*k about that person. He just wants to sort out that shit.”

2Baba and Annie got married in 2012 and share two children. Their marriage has faced several challenges, including allegations of infidelity.

Earlier this year, 2Baba announced their separation online, sparking controversy.

The 49-year-old now maintains a relationship with Natasha Osawaru and has been seen with her at recent political and entertainment events.
