The 20-year-old featured for the entire duration of Tuesday’s 2-0 victory over Sevilla – which culminated in a 3-2 aggregate win.

Ndidi took to online messaging service, Twitter, to applaud his teammates and fans.

The game at the King Power Stadium was the Nigerian’s second in the competition with his debut ending in a 2-1 defeat in Spain.

Ndidi has somewhat been one of the Foxes’ star performers since his move to the Premier League champions from Gent in January.

He is expected to play a key role for the Super Eagles in the forthcoming friendlies against Burkina Faso and Senegal especially with skipper, Mikel Obi, missing.
