Abia information commissioner, Bonnie Iwuoha, survives brain surgery

The Abia State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Strategy, Bonnie Iwuoha, has undergone a brain surgery which he said kept him off duty and relationship for months.

Mr Iwuoha, a former national president of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) and fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) disclosed this in a Facebook post on New Year Day.

He wrote: “Glory to the Almighty God, the great I am, the creator and owner of the entire universe, the only true God whose love, mercy and compassion saw me through the tough year 2016 and brought me into 2017. I owe Him every praise and worship in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

“Happy New Year to all my friends, colleagues, brothers and sisters, children of the Most High God. This God saw me through what could have been the end of my life on earth, when I went through a brain surgery which kept me off duty and relationship for months with almost everyone.

“My sincere gratitude to my Boss, Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Governor of Abia State, Professor Mbanaso, Chief Chijioke Nwakodo, Elder Ifeanyi Agbai, Ikechukwu Odoemelam, other Directors and staff of Ministry of Information, Abia State. I will remain ever grateful to the Doctors, nurses and other workers of Memfys Neurosurgical Hospital, Enugu, whose expertise and exceptional competencies God employed to ensure my safety from that ordeal.

“2016 was one year in which I saw the manifestation of satanic vices in various forms. Brethren opening the doors of their hearts and accepted falsehood and outright manipulations from satanic kingdom. The worst that could happen to any person or group is to serve the interest of Satan while at the same time worshiping God.

“I am exceedingly grateful to God for keeping me alive to tell the story and also gave me the opportunity to see and appreciate the emptiness of men. Welcome to 2017 the year of divine visitation.”

Iwuoha is a former managing editor/head of editorial department, Daily Times of Nigeria and media adviser to former Governor Theodore Orji of Abia.
