Friends mourn broadcaster killed in Ikorodu robbery

Grieving friends of broadcaster and actress, Aisha Thelma Alli-Balogun Abiose, killed by robbers in the Asolo/Majidun area of Ikorodu on Friday night have continued to express their sadness even as they call on the Lagos State Government to ensure the rescue of her daughter kidnapped during the fatal operation.

According to reports, 28-year-old Aisha, presenter of popular Stand-Up Nigeria comedy show, was shot while in traffic.

He daughter, Faree, and a pregnant friend were taken away by the assailants.

The mother of two was buried according to Islamic rites on Saturday while the search for her daughter and friend continues.

In addition to her kidnapped daughter, the deceased leaves behind her husband, Ajibolah Yusuph Abiose, and son, Faisal.

With pain in their hearts friends of the Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls Secondary School and Lagos State University (LASU) alumnus have been leaving heartbreaking messages on her Facebook wall.

“May your soul rest in peace, we love you but God loves you more. Sun re o,” wrote Aishat Opeifa Salako.

Allah knows best….. May Allah forgive you. Those kids! Allah will continue to protect them……. Yah Allah forgive her. Rest on darlyn (sic), her friend from Reagan Memorial, Arinola Shogbanmu Yusuf, wrote.

Subulola Yetunde Okoya wrote: “Girlfriend still can’t believe you are gone. May Allah grant you aljanat fidau and may your daughter be found soon. May Allah comfort all you (sic) family…Rest on sis Aisha Thelma Alli-Balogun Abiose.”

Fehintola Olalekan, a lighting specialist and production personnel at Wazobia TV write “2002 we met during our diploma in law days in lasu, we moved to degree courses and we were both inducted into the thespian fold. Your memories can never be erased in me, you lived a glorious life but very short, I can’t control the tears. We love u but God loves u more. I will surely miss u. RIP dear friend… Oku olomo kin sun, ma sun lorun o, ore mi…odi gba.”

“It’s so hard to believe that you are gone. What a cruel world. Words can’t describe how our heart melts for you but the almighty knows best. We also pray for the quick return of your child in good health. Aisha Thelma Alli-Balogun Abiose rest on our dearest. May the almighty grant your family the fortitude to bear the loss. It’s really sad I must say,” Adebola Subair ‘Lekan-Omoyele wrote.

Oluwafemi Xplizitsouljah Okunnu wrote: “I’m in pain. Serious pain this is. I want to ask many questions but there’s no one to provide answers. I am still worried about my friend who has refused to contact or talk to me but now I have just lost a dear one to death. Aisha Thelma Alli-Balogun Abiose why? Who is this inhumane human being that shot you? Aisha why? Aisha that would ensure a hard face cracks a smile at all cost, Aisha why? Aisha… So you kidnap a child and kill the mother; what exactly is the plan or ransom if I may ask you vile being that’s trigger happy? You have murdered sleep and sleep no more for you Mr Kidnapper!”

“Please someone should please tap me and tell me it’s a lie, Aisha Thelma Alli-Balogun Abiose you can’t just go please come back and take care of ur two lovely kids my beautiful friend, so full of life am going to miss u. Please continue to rest in the bosom of God. Crying so hard. RIP,” wrote Damilola Joseph.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit, Abayomi Shoyege, and Lagos Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Dolapo Badmos, were yet to respond to request for information as at Sunday night.
