Ooni’s wife Olori Ashley celebrates him on 7th coronation anniversary

Olori Ashley Adeyeye-Ogunwusi, one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has penned a lengthy note in celebration of the seventh coronation anniversary of the monarch.

Oba Ogunwusi was crowned on December 7, 2015 although his reign began unofficially on October 26, 2015.

Celebrating her husband in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Olori Ashley wrote, “I give God the glory for preserving your life to see SEVEN beautiful years on the throne of your forefathers my CROWN JEWEL. I am proud to call you my HUSBAND and I am proud to call you my FATHER.”

Olori Ashley said she admires his strength and courage, adding that he is a true leader.

“I love how you ignore all the distractions and focus on what’s important which is HUMANITY. I pray that Olodumare will give you peace of mind, I pray for more wisdom on the throne of your forefathers, I pray today Ade Ori Mi that Olodumare will continue to let you press on towards the goal for which you have been called on,” she wrote.

The chartered accountant prayed that the Ooni would live long to see his grandchildren on the throne.

Before her wedding to the monarch in October, Olori Ashley was a princess of Lafogido royal house.
