Former beauty queen Helen Prest on Tuesday paid a visit to the grave of her partner Tosin Ajayi to honour his memory two years after his death.
Ajayi died at St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos on April 26, 2020.
During her visit, Prest laid a wreath on Ajayi’s grave and also left a note. The former runway queen posted a short video of it on Instagram.
“Beloved ‘Doc’. Always in my heart… deeply missed. Rest on…Dr Tosin Ajayi 26/4/2020,” she said.
Ajayi, founder of First Foundation Medical Centre, was buried 10 months after his death. The delay was caused by a legal battle launched by his estranged widow Yemisi and her five children.
Ajayi got married to Yemisi, a retired chief nursing officer with the Lagos State Government, but the couple separated after 23 years.
He subsequently went into a relationship with Prest, and the two had a daughter together.
Although Ajayi and his first wife were separated, they were not divorced until the time of his death.
