Comedian and actor Woli Arole has recounted his movie-making journey after he was told he would not succeed as a movie producer.

On his Instagram page on Thursday, the 30-year-old revealed how people had talked him down when he decided he wanted a career as a producer. He explained that many top actors did not respond to his call for the movie, The Call.

He encouraged fans not to give up on their dreams but to focus on God’s design for their lives.

“When I ventured into Filmmaking a lot of people talked me down, some people even predicted failure for me. Here is it ‘Everyone has a right to their opinions, but let me shock you their opinions doesn’t matter at all’. What God says about YOU is what matters, what you think about yourself is what matters, your hard work is what matters, the grace upon your HEAD is what matters,” he wrote.

The Call premiered on December 30, 2018, at the IMAX Filmhouse Cinema, Lekki, Lagos.

The movie features actors like Yinka Quadri, Woli Arole, Ashiri, Kelvin Ikeduba, Hafeez Oyetoro, Samuel Ajibola, Etinosa Ogbemudia and Segun Arinze.
