Former President Goodluck Jonathan has accused ex-British Prime Minister, David Cameron, of lying in his memoir ‘For The Record’.

Mr Cameron had in his memoir said that Mr Jonathan refused help from his country to rescue 274 schoolgirls who were kidnapped in Chibok, Borno State by Boko Haram on April 14, 2014.

Cameron also said that British troops traced the location of some of the victims and offered to help but Mr Jonathan was more concerned about attacking campaigners over it.

In a response sent to TheCable on Saturday, Jonathan’s spokesman, Ikechukwu Eze, said the former president was not the first to accuse Cameron of lying in his book and that he would not be the last.

“I would urge the public to take Mr. Cameron’s accusations with a grain of salt. I will not be the first person to accuse him of lying on account of this book, and with the reactions in the UK so far, I definitely will not be the last,” he said.
