The Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal has sacked Nyesom Wike as governor of the state.
Delivering its judgment on Saturday, the tribunal said the All Progressives Congress (APC), candidate in the April 11 2015, governorship election, Dakuku Peterside, has successfully proved a case of irregularities during and after the polls.
The Tribunal therefore ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a fresh election in the state within 90 days.
Wike was candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election.
