90 Day Fiancé couple Michael Ilesanmi and Angela Deem have officially finalised their divorce, bringing an end to their marriage which began in 2020.
The split was confirmed on Tuesday after a court in Jeff Davis County, Georgia approved their settlement.
Michael celebrated the development on social media shortly after leaving the courthouse.
“Finally official — divorced. Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way. I appreciate you all. New chapter begins.”
He also said in a video shared online: “Single life, here I come!”
According to court documents, the settlement was straightforward. Both parties will keep the vehicles registered in their names and remain responsible for their own debts. Neither Angela nor Michael will receive alimony, and the agreement includes a non disparagement clause preventing either of them from making false statements that could harm the other’s reputation.
Angela and Michael first connected on social media in 2017 and later appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in 2018, where their long distance relationship was documented. Despite a significant age gap and concerns from Angela’s family, they got engaged and married in Nigeria on January 27, 2020.
Their relationship played out across several instalments of the franchise including 90 Day Fiancé season seven, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and 90 Day: The Last Resort.
The marriage later faced legal battles and public accusations. In June 2024, Angela filed for an annulment, claiming Michael had “fraudulently induced” her into the marriage to obtain legal permanent residency in the United States.
Michael denied the allegation and previously explained why he left her home after moving to the United States.
“The reason why I left Angie’s house is because I wasn’t treated like I’m her husband. I was treated like I’m just a nobody. I thought when I got here, things would be better for us, but I was wrong.”
The couple separated in 2024, ending a relationship that had been widely followed by fans of the reality television series.
