Eric Arubayi’s ‘The Sound’ music video released to coincide with funeral

The video of Eric Arubayi’s ‘The Sound’, a soulful song about God’s faithfulness and ever enduring love was released on Friday, a day before his funeral in Abraka, Delta State.

It comes 13 days after the gospel artiste died on February 11 at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital.

Directed by Frizzle n Bizzle Films, the video shows an unshaven Eric in a black T-shirt who goes on to have a makeover before leading a worship band.

He continues to sing of God’s goodness even as he gets touched up and styled till his transformation takes place.

“The emotive message behind this simple video is so poignant in that we are to stay grateful to God at our lowest and highest points,” his publicists said in a message made available to Qed.ng on Saturday.

“For many who knew Eric, this season is albeit a tough one but amazingly enough, this video is reminiscent of his message to all who loved him and believers alike.

“We are to stay thankful and remember that God’s love is indeed everlasting no matter how grim it might look on the outside.

“Leave it to Eric to drop us a message upon his grand exit into heaven.”

Eric co-wrote ‘The Sound’ with PITA.

It was produced by E-Kelly and released by Spirit Music label in March 2016.
