I’m not looking for MTN, Glo, others’ endorsement deal – Mr Eazi

Mr Eazi

Six days after causing controversy by saying the influence of Ghana on Nigerian music cannot be overemphasised, pop singer, Mr Eazi, has declared that he is not seeking endorsement deals from corporate organisations.

What he wants are strategic partnerships that will have “mutual benefits”.

The Headies 2016 Next Rated Act made the statement in a series of tweets on Tuesday in reaction to a compilation of his songs by Alaba marketers.

According to the Life is Eazi singer, he had been advised to pay marketers in the popular Lagos market to do a mixtape of his songs so that they could become popular.

He didn’t have to do that though as the marketers produced a bootlegged version without him paying.

The production of the Alaba mixtape, he said, is proof that a Best of Eazi caller ring back tone (CRBT) is a viable investment.

With that in mind, he called on telecommunications companies like MTN, Glo, Etisalat, Airtel and others to partner with him to market his CRBT bundle.

That is the kind of deal he wants from corporate organisations, not an endorsement.
