Did you know this about Jidenna’s father?

Jidenna

Nigerian-American singer, Jidenna, on Monday reminded the world that his father, Oliver Mobisson, was indeed a man of history.

Responding to a query by a Twitter follower, the ‘Classic Man’ singer wrote “My father founded ASUTECH (now ESUT) alongside Professor Dike and Governor Jim Nwobodo.”

Jidenna’s father was a professor of computer at the Anambra State University of Technology (ASUTECH) now known as the Enugu State University of Science & Technology (ESUT).

The professor was the head of Industrial Developmental Centre. He introduced the first Black African commercially produced line of personal computers and servers in 1983.

Oliver and his wife, Tama, also founded a humanitarian organisation, Lifeline for Biafra.

He died in February 2010 from a heart attack.

Jidenna, who was spotted at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards at Madison Square Garden, New York City on Sunday in company of Nigerian diva, Tiwa Savage, will host an exclusive party for the launch of his Long Live the Chief album in Lagos on September 1.
